28,718,818 lbs. Recycled

we only get one earth!
and we think this one is pretty great.

That is why we have recycled over
28,000,000 lbs of polystyrene.

We love the planet. It's that simple.

At Whom, we’re completely transparent with you. Nothing less than what you and the planet deserve. So, here’s a list of our sustainable practices. No filter.

We divert out of the land fill and and then recycle the equivalent of the Sears Tower every year.

  • Our lumber is sustainably harvested in the USA. For every tree used to make our furniture, our suppliers plant forty in its place. Why is this so important...

The rise of Asian furniture production has created a demand for low cost timber which is Illegally logged. illegal harvesting of National Parks represented up to; 72% of logging in the Brazilian Amazon, 35% in Cameroon, 65% in Ghana, 61% in Indonesia and 25% in Malaysia. That's not including China. Globally more than 100,000,000 cubic meters of timber is harvested illegally each year.

Rather than slowly grinding our beloved forests into sawdust, we’re rebuilding them over time. In other words, we’re leaving things better than we found them.

  • Our factory maintains a zero-waste policy. We reuse or recycle everything.

  • We take part in a closed-loop recycling program. Each week through this process, 66,000 pounds of polystyrene (Styrofoam) is collected and diverted out of U.S. landfills and reused in our mirrors, picture frames and wall décor. We have recycled over 28 million pounds and going up.

  • Our materials are toxin and flame retardant-free. Due to airborne pollutants emitted from foam, fabrics, glues and finishes, air quality can be 2-5 times more polluted indoors than outdoors, according to the Environmental Protection Agency. Not on Whom's watch!

  • Buying Local has an impact. It begins with transporting products from Asia to the USA which require Container Ships.

Just 15 of the largest container ships produce more annual pollution and green house gases than all the cars in the world (780 million). Currently the world has over 53,000 cargo ships with the average ship polluting the Equivalent of 20 million cars.

Rather than participate in large-scale industrial pollution like this, we keep our production close to home in Mexico and Arizona.

  • Our craftsmen are family. As of the time of writing, we have 430 personnel in our factory. We provide livable wages and healthy working conditions for all of them. That's the way it should be.

You might be thinking, "How do you keep this up?"

Long story short, We source over 95% of our materials within North America and own our factory. This means we have control over exactly where our materials come from, and how we manufacture so we can easily hold everyone accountable.

Quality. Controlled.
